Shopping Online With Ebay

ebay ireland logo

I am a self-confessed Ebay addict (if such an ailment exists!).

Ebay is simply huge. You can find pretty much anything you’ve ever thought of on there and if you’re not careful you may even stumble across things you didn’t even know existed.

I have bought a lot of stuff off eBay over the last few years. Books, CDs, DVDs, electronics, stamps, postcards, watches – the list goes on and on.

There are a couple of reasons why I use eBay.

On the one hand I can save money on a lot of items. Audio cables, for example, cost a fraction on eBay.

Other things I simply cannot find anywhere else, such as CDs from defunct music groups.

The only bad thing about eBay is that you can end up spending so much time and money on there if you’re not careful…

Eat and Meet New People

dinetomeetI heard about DineToMeet some time ago and the idea struck me as being pretty cool.

If, like me, you’re over 30 and working full time somewhere other than your native town, it’s always a bit of a challenge to meet new people.

The DineToMeet concept isn’t “dating” it’s more socialising, which sounds like it could be really good fun.

I haven’t had a chance to take part as they don’t run the events in Carlow, but I suspect it would be good fun.

In any case it’s a cool idea.

XKCD Geek Cartoon Strips

xkcdIf you’re a bit of a geek or nerd, then you’ll probably know XKCD.

If you don’t, well you should!

XKCD is sheer genius, though some of its comics might offend the more sensitive types (PG rating perchance?)

This one always makes me giggle a little:

Krystian Kozerawski Photoblog

I seem to be posting about quite a few photoblogs at the moment. I assure you it’s not intentional!

Krystian Kozerawski‘s photo blog has a very nice mix of Irish and international photos.

Whether it’s a photo of his wife or a still life they are truly impressive (at least to my eye!)

Disclosure: Krystian was my housemate when he was living in Ireland.

Dealing With Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI)

beating rsiI’m really not into self-help or healthy sites. I’m the least likely person to go out and get one of those books or DVDs.

However I do like sites that are practical and use plain English.

RSI or repetitive strain injury is one of those ailments that affects quite a few people sometimes without them even being aware at first (think tennis elbow).

Beating RSI is a simple site where the author talks about various gadgets and techniques that he has been trying out to help with RSI. It’s not technical or complicated. It’s just simple and straight forward.

Nice!
